The leader of Work Package 1, Prof. dr. ir. Monique van der Veen, began her role as a professor in ‘Collaborating on Oral Health’ at Inholland University of Applied Sciences on November 1, 2024. This collaboration is much needed according to Monique: “There is too little attention given to oral health care, despite oral diseases such as carries being the most common lifestyle diseases among of the most costly in the Netherlands.”
With her professorship, she aims to promote oral health and reduce health and wellness risks by collaborating with stakeholders prevent other lifestyle diseases. Monique is also a professor and department head at the Academic Center Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA).
