Iuri Mimoso is a PhD candidate at the Academic Centre for Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA), working within Work Package 2 of the MetaHealth program.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Genetics from University College Cork and a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology from Gothenburg University. As part of his academic training, he completed an internship at Maastricht University Medical Centre (MUMC+), where he gained experience in molecular and translational research.

His current research focuses on understanding how microbial, behavioural, and sociocultural factors influence oral and metabolic health during the first 1,000 days of life. By integrating cohort data with ecological and molecular approaches, his work aims to uncover mechanisms linking early-life exposures to long-term health outcomes.
