Dongmei Deng is an Associate Professor of Preventive Dentistry at ACTA. She obtained her dental degree in China and subsequently completed her PhD at ACTA, UvA. She has extensive experience in biofilm control and host–microbe interactions.

She has supervised more than six PhD students and over 40 Master’s students. She also has extensive international collaborations and has hosted and supervised PhD students and researchers from various countries around the world. Recently, she took on the role of Director of the ACTA School of PhD Studies.
