Janine Sikkens

Leader WP6

Janine Sikkens is researcher and project leader in e-Health, Medical Technology Research Group, Inholland University of Applied Sciences, Haarlem, The Netherlands. 

She is an accomplished professional with a background in health sciences (MSc. VU University, completed 2009), medical technology, persuasive and behavioral design. She has extensive expertise in translating scientific knowledge into practical applications, with a strong focus on innovation and behavioral change within health and healthcare. Janine has contributed to both national and international projects in eHealth, medical technology, and participatory interventions, fostering effective collaborations with scientists, healthcare professionals, engineers, businesses, and end-users. 

As a former innovation manager at Amsterdam UMC, a work package leader in large multidisciplinary research projects, and currently a key member of the Vitale Delta research consortium, Janine has consistently demonstrated her ability to effectively translate and implement knowledge. 

In the NWO MetaHealth project, she will lead Work Package 6, focusing on the dissemination and implementation of new insights through inclusive digital and non-digital tools. With her diverse expertise and experience, Janine is well-prepared to contribute meaningfully to the success of MetaHealth.
