Lea Hohendorf is a PhD candidate in Work Package 6 of the MetaHealth project. She studied Psychology and Positive Clinical Psychology and Technology at the University of Twente.
Her research asks how families with young children can be supported in building healthy daily routines. She looks beyond individual choices to understand how everyday demands, available time and energy, and the wider network of healthcare and community services shape what families can do. Health advice or an intervention may be helpful in principle, but it also needs to fit the circumstances in which families are expected to use it.
Through interviews with parents and professionals, Lea explores where support works, where it falls short, and what could change. She also aims to work with them to develop possible solutions together. She is interested in how digital tools and in-person support can complement each other, and when each is most useful.
